NEW IN 2025
A completely new format
While in previous years participants had to choose between a long and a short ride, and in some years even between three distances, this year all competitors will start on the track together! There is only one distance for everyone to choose from, which will be approximately 80 km long. Everyone can ride in the wind of everyone else, and the ride will offer more tactical options than before, as well as the opportunity to join the groups behind if they fall behind the main group.
Three exciting stages
- 1st stage – our own Paris-Roubaix! This is probably the most exciting cycling route you've ever ridden. Hillier than many South Estonian courses, with winding low-traffic roads and interesting sights along the way – that’s exactly what this year’s Tallinn Rahvasõit route is like. Oh, and to spice things up, there’s also a 1.2 km gravel section, and the urban vibe is guaranteed by the race center being located at Tondiraba. After a ceremonial start, everyone rides out calmly together to the course where the actual race and technical finish take place. After that, you can cruise back to the race center at your own pace and chat with friends.
- 2nd stage – our own classic. Elva Bike Day is one of the pillars of the Filter Road Cup series and also Estonia's second oldest bike rally, which will be held for the 40th time in 2025. A classic bike rally in classic goodness, on a classic track. If you haven't completed it, you're not a real cyclist!
- 3rd stage – Estonia's own Alp d'Huez. If there is any mountainous stage in Estonia at all, it is in Haanja. Moreover, the race ends with the toughest climb in Estonia, right up to the top of Suure-Munamäe.
Two sets of medals
Although everyone starts on the track together and the race takes place together, participants can choose between two start groups, or podium classifications! By choosing the first start group, you will compete with elite cyclists for absolute classification medals. By choosing the second start group, you will compete for amateur athletes' podium places and age group medals. Only the first starting group is open to licensed Elite, U23 and M-U19 riders, all others are free to choose which starting group or podium classification they want to ride in.
New award procedure
In the Elite group:
- In the stages, the top 6 men and top 3 women in the absolute classification will be invited to the podium at each stage from those who started in the Elite group.
- In the series finale, the six best men in the series will be awarded (1st place 1000€, 2nd place 300€, 3rd place 200€, 4th place 100€, 5th place 100€, 6th place 100€) and the three best women (1st place 300€, 2nd place 200€, 3rd place 100€)
In the Main group:
- At each stage, the 12 fastest male cyclists and the 6 fastest female cyclists in the absolute classification will be invited to the podium.
- In the series finale, the three best in each age group will be awarded.
PS! Although a single random participation can also ensure a place on the season's overall podium in some age groups with weaker competition, it should be understood that the Filter Road Cup season's overall medal is an achievement medal that is not issued for a single random finish. To ensure the sporting value of a podium finish, only those athletes who have finished at least two stages of the series to earn a medal will be awarded an overall medal.
In the Youth race:
- The 6 fastest boys and 6 fastest girls in the absolute classification will be invited to the podium at each stage.
- The top three in each age group will be awarded at the end of the series.
